CM Revanth Reddy Pays Tribute to Gaddar on Death Anniversary
Hyderabad, Aug. 6 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday paid floral tributes to the portrait of people’s poet Gaddar at his Jubilee Hills residence on the occasion of the late balladeer’s death anniversary.
Recalling Gaddar’s contribution to society, the Chief Minister said his songs and cultural performances highlighting social issues would remain etched in the hearts of the people of Telangana.
He said Gaddar had played a significant role in creating social consciousness through his songs and cultural programmes.
Describing Gaddar as a lifelong champion of the rights of the marginalized sections, Revanth Reddy said his songs inspired the spirit of agitation during the Telangana movement.
The Chief Minister remembered Gaddar as a distinguished personality who transformed songs into a powerful instrument of people’s movements.
