TTD Offers Silk Robes to Sri Subrahmanya Swamy Temple at Tiruttani in Tamil Nadu
Tirupati, Aug. 6 (TNT): Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Thursday offered traditional silk robes (Pattu Vastrams) to Sri Subrahmanya Swamy Temple at Tiruttani in Tamil Nadu on behalf of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy of Tirumala as part of the annual Aadi Krittika celebrations.
TTD Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra presented the silk robes to the deity in the presence of Tiruttani Temple Chairman Sridhar, Joint Commissioner Janaki, temple board members and other officials.
The robes were ceremonially offered to Sri Subrahmanya Swamy and His consorts Sri Valli and Sri Devasena.
Speaking on the occasion, the TTD EO said Tiruttani is one of the most revered temples dedicated to Lord Subrahmanya in the country.
He said TTD has been offering silk robes to the temple every year during the Aadi Krittika festival since 2006 and prayed for the health, prosperity and well-being of devotees.
Located about 50 km from Tirupati, the Tiruttani temple is one of the six sacred Arupadai Veedu shrines of Lord Subrahmanya and attracts thousands of devotees during the Aadi Krittika festival.
TTD Board Member Bhanu Prakash Reddy, Deputy EO Lokanatham, temple priests and other officials were present.
