Aurobindo Pharma Q1 Net Profit Rises 25% to Rs.1,032-Cr
Hyderabad, Aug. 5 (TNT): Aurobindo Pharma Ltd on Wednesday reported a 25.2 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit at ₹1,032 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, while revenue from operations rose 16.3 per cent to ₹9,150 crore, driven by broad-based growth across its businesses.
The company’s EBITDA, before forex, other income and exceptional items, increased 20 per cent year-on-year to ₹1,924 crore, with EBITDA margin improving to 21 per cent from 20.4 per cent in the corresponding quarter last year, the Hyderabad base pharma said in a release here.
Profit before tax rose 25.9 per cent to ₹1,517 crore, while earnings per share stood at ₹17.86.
Revenue from the US market grew 8.1 per cent to ₹3,770 crore, while Europe recorded a 25.6 per cent increase to ₹2,937 crore.
Revenue from Growth Markets rose 37.7 per cent to ₹1,063 crore, while ARV business revenue stood at ₹330 crore during the quarter.
The company received final USFDA approvals for 10 products during the quarter and generated free cash flow of USD 98 million.
It also maintained a net cash position of USD 42 million as on June 30, despite completing the USD 247 million acquisition of Lannett and a USD 85 million share buyback.
Commenting on the results, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director K. Nithyananda Reddy said the company had begun FY27 on a strong note with healthy growth across businesses, supported by disciplined execution, operational excellence and a diversified product portfolio.
He said Aurobindo remained well positioned for long-term growth through continued investments and expanding capabilities.
During the quarter, formulations revenue increased 16.5 per cent year-on-year to ₹8,101 crore, while API revenue rose 14.6 per cent to ₹1,049 crore.
The company launched 10 products during the quarter and, as of June 30, had filed 896 ANDAs with the USFDA, receiving 737 final approvals and 33 tentative approvals.
