Hyderabad, Apr 3 (TNT): The State Civil Supplies Department has seized 3,699 domestic LPG cylinders during a statewide enforcement drive against illegal gas distribution between March 12 and April 3, 2026.
As per official data release here on Friday, 70 small cylinders were also confiscated, with the total value of seized property pegged at ₹1.10 crore.
Authorities registered 1,275 cases under relevant provisions and filed 216 FIRs as part of the crackdown, indicating intensified action against diversion and black-marketing of LPG.
Officials said the drive aims to curb misuse of subsidised domestic cylinders for commercial purposes and ensure public safety.
They added that strict enforcement will continue against violators across the state.
